Due to the Coronavirus and lockdown, up until very recently I have been only offering emergency plumbing services to my customers in the Tamworth area. I continued to do what I could to help with my free plumbing advice for those local people I could not safely help in person.
I’m very pleased to say that the time has come for me to return to more normal working practices. I am now not limiting myself to emergencies only, in fact I am able to work on almost any plumbing job where social contact can be safely limited.
Although I am working on a wider range of jobs, I am remaining vigilant and always taking steps to reduce the risk.
Every job I attend will have to be managed individually to some extent to limit contact between me and my customer. However in addition to planning each job to reduce infection risk, I have a standard procedure to ensure I reduce risk.
- I wear gloves wherever possible, they are properly washed between jobs
- I clean the van interior between jobs especially the parts I touch
- I wash my hands regularly before, during and after jobs
- I ensure all my regular tools are cleaned along with the van interior
I’m also strictly observing isolation and social distancing rules outside of work, the risk to you and to my family is minimised by my precautions and I’m serious about adhering to my duty diligently.
I hope we will only resume a more normal lifestyle from here on out but I want to assure all of my customers that my caution will remain firmly in place for as long as it takes for the government to declare the risk eliminated. I hope to see you again soon. Feel free to contact me about any of your plumbing concerns.
